Originally published in 1963 in the US, Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak has been a beloved children’s classic for generations. It was first published in the UK in 1967 and has been a staple of children’s reading many decades.

The copy of this magical and nostalgic book that we have on sale was published in 1983 by The Bodley Head. The book has its original dust jacket with the same artwork of the monster (or Wild Thing) underneath on the boards as well. The endpapers have been taped to the board to give them extra support, but the book itself is in good condition.

Sendak both wrote and illustrated Where The Wild Things Are and has sold millions of copies around the world in the sixty years (plus!) after its publication. It is a perfect gift for children and adults alike, whether you’re looking to continue a literary tradition or simply revel in nostalgia. It is being sold for £25.
