You Only Live Twice, by Ian Fleming - First Edition Bond Book

Behind the beloved Bond film series, that spans around sixty years and includes over twenty-five films, is a book series of equal intrigue and drama. Ian Fleming wrote fourteen books in the James Bond series, with You Only Live Twice being the twelfth instalment.

The film adaptation of You Only Live Twice was released in 1967, three years after the book’s publication, and Bond was played by the iconic Sean Connery. It was the fifth Bond film in the series.

Our copy of the book was published by Jonathan Cape in 1964 and is a first edition. The dust jacket design was done by Richard Chopping, and even though it has tape around the edges (originally used to protect it), is in good condition and now in a protective plastic sleeve.

Both Ian Fleming and his character of Bond went to Eton College, which is only a five minute walk away from our shop! For any Bond fan, whether new or old, this is a fantastic first edition Fleming to sit with pride on your shelf. It is being sold for £120.
