The Mummy, or Ramses the Damned, by Anne Rice - First Edition

ree

The Mummy by iconic horror writer, Anne Rice, is a perfect spooky book for all those who are fans of myth and mummies, or a good horror novel.

Our first edition copy of The Mummy (or Ramses the Damned) was published in 1989 by Chatto and Windus. Rice had already started writing the famous ‘Vampire Chronicles’ series, with the first book, Interview with the Vampire, being adapted into a famous film in 1994. (The Vampire Lestat is the second book in the series and we have a copy in our shop for sale for those who are fans!)

The dust jacket of this hardback book is in great condition, with almost no signs of wear, and in a protective plastic sleeve. The inside flap of the dust jacket describes The Mummy as a masterful ‘interplay of the undead with their mortal brethren’, like so many of Rice’s other works.

This first edition novel, which is in equal proportions, ‘gripping and entertaining, terrifying and erotic’, is a fantastic addition to any shelf or collection for those who are fans of iconic writers or horror works. It is being sold for £75.
