The Complete Works of Jane Austen in 6 volumes

For lovers of strong female protagonists, slow-burn romances, and sharp observational humour, Jane Austen is the timeless, well-loved author for readers young and old. 

We are selling a six volume hardback set of all of Austen’s works, including her six completed novels, and an additional volume of her unfinished and shorter works (such as ‘Lady Susan’, ‘Love and Friendship’, and ‘Sanditon’). The full length novels included in the set are: Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, Persuasion, and Northanger Abbey. The latter two books were published posthumously in 1817 and in one volume – the same has been done in this set as well.

This collection is actually a mixed set of editions of Austen’s oeuvre, published between 1953 and 1960. All of the books are edited by R.W. Chapman and published by the Oxford University Press. They also include numerous black and white illustrated plates to accompany the stories.

Each book comes with its original dust jacket, and even though they are slightly faded on the spine, the rest of it is in good condition.

This collection is the perfect gift for any Jane Austen fan, anyone wanting a complete set of her work, or someone wanting to throw themselves in to the classics for the first time. It is being sold for £400.
