Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Deluxe First Edition, Signed by JK Rowling

Updated: Sep 20

In the space of just two weeks in July 2007, the film adaptation of  Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was released and the final book in the seven-part series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was published.

By this point, Harry Potter was a global phenomenon and JK Rowling was one of the most famous authors in the world.

Luckily, we have acquired a hardback, deluxe, first edition copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows from 2007, published by Bloomsbury. The book is made with black cloth with gold gilt titling on the front and spine, including an example of JK Rowling’s signature as part of the design – but inside, we have the real thing.

On the first fly leaf of the book, there is an official Bloomsbury Children’s Book sticker with JK Rowling’s signature penned onto it. The official sticker suggests that this was part of a set of signed books that Rowling did for Bloomsbury (her UK publisher) to sell as part of the release of her final Harry Potter book.

The book has good provenance as it was from a former Director of Penguin International who was given it by a school friend who was a Manager at Bloomsbury.

With golden sprayed edges, a purple ribbon bookmark, and in excellent condition with no obvious signs of wear, this is a perfect book for any collector or any avid Potterhead. It is being sold for £2,500.
