A first edition of Miracles: A Preliminary Study by C. S. Lewis, published by Geoffrey Bles, The Centenary Press, in 1947.

In Miracles: A Preliminary Study, C. S. Lewis examines the possibility and nature of miracles, challenging the naturalist view that the physical universe operates as a closed system. He argues that miracles are acts of God within the natural order and explores the relationship between reason, nature and divine intervention. The work places the Incarnation of Christ at the centre of its theological argument, offering a philosophical defence of Christian belief in the miraculous.

The volume is bound in teal cloth with gilt titling to the spine. It retains its original, unclipped dust jacket. A small handwritten inscription is featured on the front endpaper.

The dust jacket exhibits age-related discolouration, together with a small watermark stain affecting the front panel and spine.

The binding remains secure and tight, with minimal wear to the book itself. The internal pages are in very good condition, with little evidence of wear.

This book is being sold for £100.
