Have you ever wondered how books were made? Are you curious about how bindings are created? Do you want the chance to see old books up close?

If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, then this is the event for you!

Mainly Books, in collaboration with Eton Arts Week 2026, are hosting two exclusive talks in our shop on the History of Book Binding, using real antiquarian books from our collection to show you how books were traditionally made and bound!

We have two days for this talk, one on Wednesday 27th May and the other on Friday 29th May, both starting at 6:30pm at our shop in Eton! (Please note that the talks are the same, so you only need to turn up to one!)

Tickets to this event are only £3 and can be booked via the Visit Eton website or this Eventbrite link: https://www.ticketsource.com/whats-on/windsor/mainly-books-antiquarian-bookshop/the-history-of-book-bindings/e-xpogbm

Please don't hesitate to get in touch via info@mainlybooks.co.uk if you have any questions or queries. We hope to see you soon!
